Danielle Avitable joined the NBC4 team in January 2019.
She is an award-winning journalist and comes to the Midwest from Florida, where she was born and raised.
Danielle is thrilled to be in the great state of Ohio where people bleed scarlet and gray and she can finally experience all four seasons.
Before joining NBC4, Danielle worked in Jacksonville as a reporter and fill-in anchor. She spent nearly three years covering everything from breaking news to severe weather. She traveled to Parkland to report on the school massacre at Stoneman Douglas High School, which was right around the corner from where she grew up. Danielle also covered the mass shooting at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as well as Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Irma.
She started out her career in Greenville, Mississippi after graduating from Florida State University. Danielle then moved to Jackson where she was the Weekend Evening Anchor for more than two years. While working for WJTV, she was nominated as Best TV News Anchor.
In her free time, she likes to workout, travel, try out new restaurants and hang out with her dog, Stella.
