Caleb Michael is a reporter for NBC4. Before joining the team, Caleb was an anchor/reporter in Medford, Oregon. He covered stories that included 70,000-acre wildfires and illegal marijuana operations in southern Oregon.
Caleb was born and raised in California but is no stranger to Ohio. He has family throughout Columbus and surrounding areas such as Pickerington, where he has fond memories of family reunions.
Caleb got his bachelor’s degree in communication from Oregon State University, where he was a Division I student-athlete on the men’s soccer team. Upon graduation, he enrolled at the University of Southern California, where he received his master’s degree in strategic communication. At USC, he focused on learning the technical aspects of public relations while developing his craft as a storyteller to pursue a career in news.
Caleb is so excited to be part of a station that has an emphasis on giving back and impacting the community. As a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., inspiring service in the public interest is something he holds near and dear to his heart.
