
Brad Johansen is the anchor of NBC4 Midday and co-anchor of NBC4 First at 4.
Brad has spent 40 years in television broadcasting dating to his first anchor job in college.
He attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and joined the staff at WEEK-TV in his junior year. After graduation he spent time in Lansing, Michigan; San Luis Obispo, California; and Las Vegas before landing in Cincinnati in 1992.
He stayed at WKRC for the next 26 years before venturing out to North Carolina for a year.
He says that was a difficult transition year as his family stayed in Ohio as he moved back and forth.
Brad says it’s great to be back in Ohio and join a fantastic team at NBC4. Brad has done almost everything in the business from news to sports. He spent 18 years as a Sports Director and 11 years as Voice of the Bengals on radio. He has called NFL and college football as well as college basketball for CBS and Fox Sports.
Brad and his wife, Colleen, have a heart for our community and have helped raise more than $3 million for various charities with their own golf tournaments and concert banquets. They have four children, three sons and a daughter ranging in age from their 30s to their teens.
