Ben Orner is a digital data journalist at NBC4 who uses data, public records and traditional reporting to cover public affairs. He also covers motorsports and climate change, leading NBC4’s Climate Columbus project.
Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kent State University and a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield. Before coming to Central Ohio, he was a statehouse reporter in Illinois and a news producer in Lansing, Michigan.
Ben is a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Society of Environmental Journalists and the National Motorsports Press Association.
