COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Tonight, NBC4 is once again bringing viewers important in-depth information on Alzheimer’s Disease with interviews with local experts, personal stories from families and information on treatments and breakthroughs.

Hosted by Colleen Marshall, “A Journey through Alzheimer’s,” will air Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. on NBC4.

During the program, viewers will have the opportunity to connect with virtual CALL 4 volunteers, who can answer questions, direct callers to resources and provide information about the amazing programs offered by the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio. 

The special will also address navigating the agonizing journey through Alzheimer’s in the time of COVID-19 and the devastating toll it can take on someone you love.

We will hear from a man whose heart was breaking because coronavirus was keeping him away from his wife of nearly 60 years. Learn how he found a way to reconnect with her, even when they are apart.

Plus, we have news of what might be the most promising treatment breakthrough in the nearly 15 years NBC4 has been doing this program.

Also, families who are on the journey through Alzheimer’s face some tough conversations with children who might not understand what’s happening to grandma. We’ll show you how one woman created a new way to answer those difficult questions.
