Kasich Announces Enhancements To Ohio Jobs Website

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ohio - With graduation season upon us, thousands of new graduates are venturing out into the real world in search of a job.

And now a new and improved resource is available to help with that process.

On Wednesday, Gov. John Kasich introduced the newly-enhanced Ohio Means Jobs website that he says will bring success to both Ohio’s job seekers and employers.

The state's website has been live for months, but now thanks to a federal grant, new enhancements have been added.

"So if you are young, if you are getting ready to go on to further education this can help you to define what it is you might want to do. If you have lost your job this can give you an opportunity to find something either in your field or in another field," explained Kasich.

Employers can post job openings on the website to find the talent they’re looking for.

Some of the new tools that have been added to the website include; resume building, career field assessments to help determine which career field is best for the job seeker and a custom career path designed for individual users to help find ways to achieve desired career goals.
