ONTARIO, Ohio - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person responsible for stealing items from a boy's grave in Richland County.

According to Ontario police, the thefts were reported at the gravesite of a 14-month-old boy, Hayden "Tank" Cole Sheridan.

Sheridan died in 2007, and police said someone has been stealing toys and solar night lights from the grave ever since.

Police set up a camera to watch the thieves, and watched as items disappeared, but never got an image that was good enough to identify a suspect.

Then, on April 19, about four to five hours after relatives placed a yellow stuffed duck at the gravesite for Easter, the toy was stolen.

Relatives said they want the person who stole the toy to be held accountable, however, they recognize that the person is likely not responsible for all of the thefts.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 419-529-2115.
