NBC4 Welcomes Back Jym Ganahl

COLUMBUS, Ohio -

NBC4 is glad to announce that Storm Team 4 Chief Meteorologist Jym Ganahl is back to work after a serious health scare.  Jym returned on NBC4 at 5 p.m. Monday.

Due to breathing difficulties and what he and his doctors had thought was a case of pneumonia, Jym was admitted to Riverside Methodist Hospital where he spent a week. He was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

"We sincerely appreciate the concern, patience, and understanding shared by the members of our audience and we're pleased to welcome him back on the air. Given Jym's recent diagnosis, he will be working a reduced schedule during the month of February" said Michael Fabac, NBC4 News Director.

NBC4 anchor and reporter Ellie Merritt will share updates on Jym's progress with his recovery.  Jym Ganahl has been with NBC4 since 1979.
