A reward is being offered to help find a suspected arsonist
at an Athens County Walmart.
According to the Ohio State Fire Marshal, a fire was
intentionally set at the Walmart in the 900 block of East State Street, in
Athens, that caused significant damage to the building early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say an employee at the store help to prevent more
damage, by using a fire extinguisher.
The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward of up
to $5,000 to anyone who helps identify the person responsible for the fire.
Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call the
State Fire Marshal's Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau at 1-800-589-9728.
