Hazmat Crews Respond To Reported Explosion

COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Columbus police and fire personnel have responded to a home on Dennison Avenue on a report of an explosion Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, officers responded to the 1300 block of Dennison Avenue at about 1:20 p.m. Columbus fire Hazmat crews and the Columbus police bomb squad were also called to the scene.

Initial reports indicated that one entire wall of the residence had been blown out.

It is unclear at this time as to what may have caused the explosion.

No word on any injuries at this time, and no other details were readily made available.
