FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio -
Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on U.S. Route
33 at Bixby Road on the city's southeast side Friday morning.
Franklin County deputies were dispatched to the westbound lanes at about
5:38 a.m. Friday on a report of a serious injury crash.
According to the sheriff's office, 20-year-old Amber Jenkins, of Columbus was
operating a 2006 white Pontiac Grand Prix, westbound on Bixby Road when she
attempted to cross U.S. 33 when she was struck by 38-year-old Raynetta Carter,
of Canal Winchester.
Witnesses tell deputies Carter was traveling northbound on U.S. 33 and
attempted to stop when she struck Jenkins' vehicle.
Jenkins was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
Carter and her passenger, 43-year-old Henry Price, of Canal Winchester, were
transported to Grant Medical Center where they are listed in fair condition.
U.S. 33 reopened at about 9 a.m, according to the sheriff's office.
