Friends, Family Remember Jennifer At Grandview Festival

Posted: Updated:
GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio -

Music from the lawn of the Grandview Heights Public Library reminded residents Sunday of a young mother who loved her community and activities that brought community residents together.

The music played from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, as a tribute to Jennifer Cooke, the 34-year-old mother who was found stabbed to death in her Grandview apartment on August 11.

"The goal of the concert is to remember her in a positive way," said Cooke's friend and neighbor, Za Unitt, who organized the event.

Unitt organized the Lady of the Lake Festival in memory of Cooke.

Friends said Jennifer would have wanted there to be a positive event related to her death and to her life.

So far, there have been no arrests in connection with Cooke's death.
