Detectives Looking For Suspect In Huntington Bank Robbery

COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Detectives from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office are trying to locate a man suspected of robbing a west Columbus bank Thursday morning.

Deputies were dispatched to the Huntington Bank located at 4975 West Broad Street in Prairie Township at about 9:19 a.m. on a report of a robbery.

According the report, the male suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, handed her a plastic bag and demanded money.

The suspect threatened the teller to comply, but no weapon was implied, according to the sheriff's office.

The teller complied and the suspect fled from the bank on foot into a wooded area behind the bank.

The suspect is described as a white male who is in his late 40s. He is between 5 feet 1 inch and 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, jeans, black shoes, and a dark green, camouflaged ball cap.
