UNION COUNTY, Ohio -
Officers from the Union County Multi Agency Drug Enforcement (M.A.D.E.) Task Force seized 564 marijuana plants worth an estimated $560,000 while executing a search warrant on a southern Union County home Tuesday.
Officers were serving a warrant on a home in the 14000 block of Fladt Road in Darby Township when they discovered marijuana plants, several guns, and marijuana growing equipment.
Officers say the plants were being grown outside the residence as part of a large growing operation.
"With the size of this operation, it is apparent that the owners have some knowledge of horticulture and hydroponics," said Sheriff Jamie Patton.
The case remains under investigation. Evidence will be presented to the Union County Grand Jury.
