Shooting Victim Dropped Off At Children's Hospital

Columbus police officers are searching for the suspect who shot a person Thursday afternoon.

According to Columbus police, the shooting happened shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday on Oakwood Avenue near Mithoff Street.

According to police, a possible shooting victim was dropped off near Nationwide Children's Hospital. That person was later transported to Grant Medical Center.

Two people were seen leaving the area of the shooting in a black four-door car.

Police are searching the area of Ohio Avenue and Forest Street for the car and its occupants.

According to Nationwide Children's Hospital, a temporary lockdown was in place at the hospital while they determined whether or not the shooting took place at the hospital. The lockdown has since been lifted.

No other information was released.
