Names Of Near East Side Shooting Victims Released

COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Police released more details Friday about two men who were shot in a near east side apartment Thursday afternoon.

According to Columbus police, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Miller Avenue on a report of a shooting at 2:15 p.m. Thursday.

Daizhon Robinson, 27, was found in an apartment with two gunshot wounds to his back.

Robinson was taken to Grant Medical Center where he eventually refused treatment.

Seven minutes later, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Lilley Avenue on a report of a shooting.

Leon Day, 27, was found inside an apartment lying upstairs in a back bedroom.

Day was taken to Grant Medical Center in Critical condition.

According to police, Day remains unconscious and Robinson refused to provide any information to police.

Police said they believe that the shootings are related.
