JACKSON, Ohio -

A man has been arrested in connection with an abduction of a 6-year-old girl Friday.

According to Jackson Police Chief Carl Eisnaugle, 30-year-old Zach Dunn was arrested at a residence on state Route 776 at about 8 p.m. Friday, and charged with the abduction of Macey Stewart, 6, of Jackson, Friday.

The girl was originally reported missing just after 2 a.m. Friday and was found close to seven miles away, at about 4 p.m., at a residence on Oakland Road in Liberty Township.

Eisnaugle said the girl may have been injured during the abduction, and was kept in a hospital overnight while investigators try to determine if she suffered any other injuries.

According to a spokesperson with the Jackson County Children Services, Stewart will be placed in foster care once she is released from the hospital.

Dunn is being held in the Jackson County Jail, and Eisnaugle said he could face additional charges stemming from the abduction.
