Fire Crews Fighting Clinton Twp. Structure Fire

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -

Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at a used tire shop along Cleveland Avenue in Clinton Township.

Columbus firefighters were dispatched to Bob's Used Tires the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Elmore Avenue in Clinton Township at 2:10 p.m. Thursday on a report of a fire.

The first companies on the scene quickly called for a working fire assignment.

According to firefighters on the scene, the fire was contained shortly before 3, but portions of the roof were still burning shortly before 3:30 p.m.

NBC4 reporter Mike Bowersock reported seeing black smoke coming from the fire scene from several miles away.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Cleveland Avenue is closed between Innis Road and Elmore Avenue.
