COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Columbus firefighters were dispatched to the southeast side of the city to perform a water rescue late Wednesday morning.

Columbus firefighters and divers were dispatched to the Big Walnut Creek, in the 2800 block of Noe Bixby Road, on a report of a person in the water at 11:25 a.m.

One person was reportedly in the water holding on to brush, according to initial reports. Crews were able to rescue that person before receiving reports of a second person in a blow-up raft who was stranded in the water.

Crews were able to rescue the second victim and take him to shore to be evaluated.

No other information was readily available.
