Victim Identified In Fatal Wrong-Way Crash On I-670

Columbus police detectives have identified the victim of a fatal crash involving a wrong-way driver early Saturday morning.

The victim has been identified as 61-year-old Vincent Canzani, according to Franklin County Coroner Dr. Jan Gorniak.

Canzani was killed in the crash that involved a total of four vehicles and a semi in the westbound lanes of Interstate 670 near downtown Columbus.

Columbus police officers and medic personnel were called to the westbound lanes of I-670, between Interstate 71 and North 3rd Street at on a report of a crash involving a wrong-way driver at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

The initial report indicated a white pick-up truck had been driving eastbound in the westbound lanes.
