Power Outages Reported After Storms Rip Through Central Ohio

CENTRAL OHIO -

Thousands of customers in Central Ohio are without power after a series of storms late Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

As of 3 p.m., the following customers were without power in the corresponding counties:

  • Fairfield: 1,446
  • Franklin: 991
  • Hocking: 1,045
  • Pike: 487
  • Ross: 126

According to the AEP Ohio website, service is expected to be restored by the following times:

Columbus

  • Southwest 8 p.m. Thursday
  • Southeast 11:59 p.m. Thursday
  • Northeast 8 p.m. Thursday
  • Northwest 4 p.m. Thursday
  • Delaware 4 p.m. Thursday

Western Ohio

  • All Areas 4 p.m. Thursday

Newark

  • All Areas 4 p.m. Thursday

Ohio Valley

  • Wheeling 10 p.m. Thursday

According to South Central Power, customers in the following counties are without power as of 3 p.m.:

  • Fairfield: 18
  • Franklin: 6
  • Hocking: 231
  • Pickaway: 17
  • Ross: 4
  • Vinton: 70

South Central Power customers can call 877-688-2437 to report outages.

South Central tells NBC4 the company does not release estimated restoration times.

No other details were released, but NBC4 will update as we learn new information.
