Delaware County Golf Course, Market Face Legal Action

Posted: Updated:
DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio -

Two food businesses in Delaware County are facing legal action after not renewing their food license.

According to the Delaware General Health District, Obee's Deli Market at 2319 U.S. 23 N in Delaware, and Big Walnut Recreation (Golf Course) at 6683 state Route 61 in Sunbury, were referred to the prosecutor's office by the Delaware Board of Health, after they failed to renew their retail food license by the March 1 annual due date.

Retail food sellers are required by Ohio law to have a valid license from their local health department, so they can be subjected to inspections to help prevent food borne illnesses and assure food safety.

No other details were released, but NBC4 will update as we learn new information.
