Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ohio -

A man escapes injury when a piece of wood pierced his windshield after the truck he was driving lost control and crashed into a house.

Columbus fire crews responded to the intersection of South 44th Street and Dering Avenue, just after 7 a.m. Saturday, to the report of a vehicle into a structure.

Fire officials say when they arrived on scene, they found a truck that had allegedly lost control on some ice and had crashed into a house.

The driver of the truck did not sustain any significant injuries despite the fact a piece of wood had pierced the windshield when he crashed into the house.

There were no reported injuries to anyone in the house.
