
Columbus police detectives are searching for the suspect who and shot a 42-year-old man on the city's east side early Friday morning.
Officers were called to the 1000 block of Seymour Avenue on a report of a shooting at about 3:23 a.m.
Arriving officers found Stephen Foster had been shot multiple times.
Foster was transported to Grant Medical Center in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.
The investigation indicates that Foster was standing in front of a home on Seymour Avenue when he was approached by the unknown suspect. The suspect allegedly brandished a gun and as Foster ran away the suspect fired several shots, striking Foster.
The investigation continues.
