LEWIS CENTER, Ohio -
A Lewis Center man was arrested for allegedly hitting his
2-year-old son numerous times in the head and face.
Derrick A. Johnston, 24, was indicted Wednesday on one
count of felonious assault, three counts of endangering children, and one count
of domestic violence.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office,
authorities were notified by a third party of a domestic incident at a Lewis
Center residence on March 4.
After making contact with Johnston, the mother and child,
the boy was observed to have sustained numerous facial injuries.
The boy was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital for
medical testing.
Johnston was taken into custody and remains at the Delaware County Jail.
