Charges have been dropped against long-time Westerville South football coach Rocky Pentello.
Officials at the Delaware Municipal Court tell NBC4 Tuesday afternoon that the criminal charges were dropped per the discretion of the prosecutor.
Delaware County sheriff's deputies were called to Pentello's estranged wife's apartment in Lewis Center early Christmas morning. A police report showed Angela Pentello suffered injuries to her arm.
Rocky Pentello was jailed and charged with domestic violence, assault and disorderly conduct. Angela Pentello was charged with domestic violence. Her charge was also dropped.
Westerville City Schools said Rocky Pentello is still employed as a social studies teacher at Westerville South High School. Last year he completed his 22nd year as head football coach.
