A man died after he lost control of his car and crashed into another vehicle on Gender Road Saturday night.
According to Columbus police, 50-year-old Seth Quacoopome was traveling north on Gender Road at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, when for unknown reasons, lost control of his 1996 Subaru Impreza and crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic.
Police said that Quacoopome's vehicle was then struck by a 1992 Honda According traveling northbound, being driven by Cyril Ntukogu.
Witnesses at the scene said there appeared to be a front-to-front impact between the vehicles involved.
Quacoopome was pronounced dead at the scene by medics, and Ntukogu was transported to Mt. Carmel Hospital East in stable condition.
Police are still investigating the crash and at this time it is unclear whether alcohol played any role in the crash.
