Powell police say a man was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a
utility pole in Powell Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred in the area of North Liberty Street and Liberty Ridge
Avenue shortly before 3 p.m.
The male driver, Larry Carper, of Delaware, was ejected and
transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital. The condition of Carper was
not immediately released.
According to police, Carper was traveling south on North Liberty Street when
he left the roadway and struck a power pole.
North Liberty Street was closed for several hours during the
cleanup and investigation.
