A teenage driver crashes into a pole after allegedly fleeing from Whitehall police Sunday.

On Sunday, Whitehall officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Fairway Boulevard on a report of a burglary.

Officers responded to the area and observed a vehicle reported to be at the scene of the burglary. The vehicle fled from officers.

After a short chase, the 19-year-old driver, Robert Cosner, lost control of the vehicle and hit a utility pole.

Cosner and five other people exited the vehicle.

In all, six suspects were detained. Cosner, and another juvenile, were arrested. The other four individuals were released to their guardians.

According to a report, the males who were in the car were believed to have been witnessed running from a home on Fairway Boulevard that had been burglarized.
