COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Franklin Township Police are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian Saturday night.

Officers say a man was running across Harrisburg Pike, near Little Road, when he was struck by an SUV. The SUV stopped at the scene following the crash.

The victim was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable.

The roadway was closed for less than an hour at 8:30 p.m. when the incident was reported.

No names or other details were immediately available as an investigation is ongoing.
