Circleville Officer Injured In Crash During Emergency Run

A Circleville police officer and two other people were injured in a crash on Friday, when the cruiser he was riding in was involved in a collision during an emergency run.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which occurred at Pickaway and East Mound streets in Circleville at 8:45 p.m.

A statement issued by the patrol said the cruiser was on an emergency run with lights and sirens operating when it collided with the civilian vehicle.

The drivers of both vehicles were treated and released at a local hospital. The officer riding in the passenger seat of the cruiser was transported to Grant Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.

The patrol did not release the name of the parties involved.
