A dump truck carrying a load of gravel slowed traffic on North High Street in Columbus Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the driver of the dump truck inadvertently left a part of the truck open, causing gravel to pour into the travel lanes of North High Street, near East North Broadway.
The driver, apparently unaware of the situation, continued driving.
Police were able to track the driver down by following the trail of gravel.
