The actions taken by a 12-year-old girl during a theft at her home could help police catch the suspect.
Jason Janoski says his daughter heard a commotion coming from the outside of their Old Beechwold home. Her father says she went to investigate, peering through the blinds. That's when she says she saw a man pulling at a downspout.
The suspect is accused of stealing all of the copper gutters from the home, according to detectives.
While the male suspect pulled the gutters from the home, the young girl took pictures.
The girl continued to take pictures as the suspect loaded the copper gutters into his truck.
The girl called her mother, and called the police, and continued to document the crime.
Officers were not able to make it to the house before the suspect had left, but the girl had gathered evidence, including a picture of the truck's license plate.
Detectives say the truck was stolen but say an arrest could come soon thanks to the photos.
