Police have re-opened Dodridge Street after a suspicious package was found on the bridge earlier Monday.
At about 10:40 a.m. Monday, Columbus police were called to the Dodridge Street bridge east of Olentangy River Road on a report of a suspicious package.
Officers found an unknown object on the bridge.
The bridge was closed to traffic while fire crews investigated.
According to Columbus Fire Department Assistant Public Information officer Bill Ehrgood, the Columbus Division of Fire Bomb Squad did disrupt the package safely and re-opened Dodridge St.
Ehrgood says the contents of the suspicious package are still being investigated and there are no motives or suspects at this time.
