Jewelry Store Robbery Suspects Sought

COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Police are asking for help identifying the two men who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint earlier this week.

According to Columbus police, the robbery occurred at the J.B. Robinson jewelry store at Eastland Mall Wednesday at about 10:44 a.m.

Police said one suspect jumped the jewelry case, pried open the sliding door, and took assorted jewelry from the case.

The second suspect followed the first suspect into the store, approached an employee, brandished a firearm, and demanded that the employee open the register drawer.

Both suspects then fled the scene.

Surveillance video from the parking lot showed the suspects getting into a small gray vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a white shirt and white or gray sweat pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds, and wearing a gray hooded jacket, gray sweat pants and ball cap.
