Every two years, MORPC solicits projects to receive federal transportation funding in the MORPC transportation planning area – Franklin and Delaware counties, Violet and Bloom townships in Fairfield County, and Etna Township and the City of Pataskala in Licking County. Examples of the types of projects eligible for funding include transportation improvements such as highways, public transit, bikeways, pedestrian facilities, bridges and traffic signal upgrades.
MORPC's Federal Funding Committee recommended continued funding for 31 projects that MORPC previously had committed monies to, while 18 new projects were approved for new funding. A total of nearly $233 million in both new and previously committed projects is approved for funding.
