
Three men have been arrested and ar facing felony drug charges following a routine traffic stop Tuesday night in Scioto County.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Portsmouth post stopped a 2001 Cadillac, traveling south on U.S. Route 23, near Rosemount, at about 8 p.m. for a traffic violation.
As troopers approached the vehicle, they observed what appeared to be a large bag of pills. A searche revealed 1,004 30mg Oxycodone pills with a street value of about $24,096.
Dennis G. Hurd, 56, Steven T. Washington, 25, and William D. Whitfield, 28, were arrested and charged with felonious possession of oxycodone and drug trafficking.
The tree suspects were transported to the Scioto County Jail.
