
Police are searching for two men believed to have been involved in an early morning home invasion on the west side of Columbus.
At about 1:15 a.m., Columbus police were dispatched to a home on Chase Run Road on a report of a home invasion.
According to detectives, two armed, male suspects followed a resident into the home through the back door at about 1:40 a.m. There was a man and a woman home at the time of the intrusion.
The men stole a handgun, shotgun, an unknown amount of cash, and the couple's car. The car was described as a four-door Mitsubishi.
Officers have released a vague description of the two suspects. The first suspect is described as a white male who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has a tattoo on his neck. The second suspect is described as a white male who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
One of the suspects was armed with a silver revolver and demanded cash and valuables from the residents.
The suspects fled from the home and stole a 2002 black Mitsubishi with the license plate number FSS7795.
Detectives say the suspects will be charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and auto theft once they have been arrested.
There were no injuries were reported.
Officers continue to look for the suspects.
