Deputies are investigating after a person was found dead near a west side freeway.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched shortly after 3 p.m. Monday to West Broad Street near Interstate 270 on a report of a man lying face down in a puddle of water near a construction zone.
Prairie Township medics pronounced a person dead at the scene.
Deputies set up a perimeter around where the body was found and have one lane of westbound West Broad Street closed while they investigate.
No other details were released, but NBC4 will update as we
learn new information.
