
Columbus have identified the man who was found in a Dumpster last week, and have notified his family.
Columbus police and medic personnel were called to the scene at about 1:51 p.m. on Feb. 8, after a body was found in a Dumpster in the area of Ponderosa and Sierra Ridge drives.
A person scavenging in the dumpster found the body of a male, wrapped in bedding.
Police identified the man as 32-year-old Nathan P. Birdsall.
The cause of his death was not able to be determined by autopsy, according to a statement issued by homicide detectives.
There was no sign of trauma. Investigators are waiting for the results of toxicology tests, which take several weeks to complete.
