Three Charged With Drug Possession After Police Raid Chillicothe Home

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -

Police say that three men were arrested and a large amount of drugs was seized when officers served a warrant on a Chillicothe home.

According to Chillicothe police, officers were serving a warrant at a home on the 700 block of Erie Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon arriving, officers saw a man leaving in a vehicle. Police said that the man refused to stop as officers were yelling at him.

The man then allegedly turned the wrong way down a one way street.

During the ensuing pursuit, the man got out of the vehicle and tried to run. He was apprehended a short time later.

Police identified the suspect as Justin Young, 27.

Young was found to be in possession of a large amount of heroin and marijuana, according to police.

Young was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, obstructing official business, and fleeing and eluding.

The Chillicothe Police Special Response Team and detectives entered the residence and seized a large amount of cocaine and heroin as well as drug paraphernalia and cash.

According to police, Stephon Cunningham, 24, and Anthony W. Thomas Jr., 21 were arrested after they left the residence through a window.

Cunningham and Thomas were charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and obstructing official business.

Cunningham was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for aggravated menacing.
