COLUMBUS, Ohio -
A reward is being offered for information in connection with a couple of thieves who had their eyes on some glasses frames.
At
about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, a male and a female
entered the Eyeglass Wearhouse store in the 1500 block of Bethel Road.
According
to investigators, the pair came into the store pretending to shop for
new eyeglasses, but their real intention was to steal some designer
frames.
While only being in the store for less than five minutes,
the couple allegedly stole $1,700 worth of Dolce & Gabanna, Versace,
and Ray-Ban brand eyeglass frames.
The first suspect is described
as a black male, about 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing
about 200 pounds and having a light complexion. He has short brown
hair, is balding on top, and has a small tattoo on the right side of his
neck. He was wearing a gray zip front sweatshirt, a gray pull-over
shirt and baggy jeans.
The second suspect is described as a white
female in her late 20s, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 130
pounds. She had long brown hair that she was wearing in a ponytail, and
was wearing a purple peacoat-style jacket, purple pants, calf-high
boots, and was carrying a pattern stitched shoulder bag.
Crime
Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information by
February 13, 2013, that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
