Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against a man accused of causing the crash that killed a tow truck driver on Sept. 29, 2012.
Thomas G. Frederick, 59, has been charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, failure to stop after an accident, tampering with evidence, and two counts of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Frederick is accused of hitting and killing 60-year-old William Houck, a tow truck driver, while he was helping a stranded motorist in the berm of Interstate 71, just north of Cooke Road.
The indictment indicates Frederick's blood alcohol level was .242 at the time of the crash.
If he is found guilty of the charges, he could face more than 15 years in prison.
