Central Ohio has grown to trust Jym Ganahl for his accurate forecasts.

Over the years, viewers have laughed with him and grown to love him; but on the inside, Jym has fought a personal battle with his weight. Now, Jym is happy to share his mission to lose weight and get in shape, hoping to inspire others to reach their goals.

Jym is doing this for his health, but he also has a very special reason.

"This is my army uniform and every year I've wanted to get back into it for Veterans Day," said Jym, holding up the uniform he wore decades ago.

This summer, Jym got serious about losing weight and set a goal to lose 50 pounds by Veterans Day.  He started working out and set diet goals to gradually lose the weight.

NBC4's Ellie Merritt has followed Jym through the process and tonight on NBC4 at 5 and 6 reveals how Jym set out on this mission, his physical and emotional challenges, and if he has now reached his goal of fitting back into his uniform.

Join us tonight on NBC4 at 5 and 6 for Jym's Weight Loss Journey.
