NBC4's Shred-It Day Collects 90 Tons From 3,500 Vehicles

Central Ohio residents turned in 90 tons of personal documents to be shredded at NBC4's Shred-it Day Saturday.
The event, which ran from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., involved hundreds of volunteers who helped unload boxes of papers to be shredded from a total of 3,549 vehicles.
The amount of material that will be recycled is equivalent to 900 trees, according to recycling experts.
Many of those who brought their items for recycling also made a donation to Nationwide Children's Hospital. A total of $6,100 was collected from donors.
