COLUMBUS -- When many people are looking for work, one Anthony-Thomas Candy employee is celebrating her 37th year at the family-owned and operated Columbus manufacturer.
Seventy-five-year-old Joanne Hosey started working for the company when Anthony-Thomas bought out another manufacturer in Grandview around 1973.
You can bring your family to watch Joanne create magnificent Easter baskets at the Anthony-Thomas Easter Open House from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 20.
There is no charge, and four costumed bunnies will greet the expected 4,000 visitors as they travel through the 152,000-square-foot factory.
All children will receive Easter eggs filled with candy and samples will be provided to the "big" kids as well.
The tour ends in the 2,500-square-foot retail store where chocolate bunnies range in price from $2.75 to $199.95.
To get to the factory, which is located at 1777 Arlingate Lane, take Interstate 270 toward Hilliard, turn east on Roberts Road, south on Wilson Road then turn onto Arlingate Lane.
