
Steve Wainfor joined NBC4 as a digital journalist after serving as a photojournalist for 25 years.
Prior to becoming a digital journalist, Steve was the chief photojournalist, and a photojournalist for targeted special reports.
Originally from Heath, Steve received a bachelor's in science from Ohio University.
Steve has been honored with four Ohio Valley Chapter Emmy awards, and awards from the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters, Society of Professional Journalists, and Ohio News Photographers Association.
Steve said the most memorable story he covered was the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, along with tornado damage in Birmingham, Ala.
If he weren't working in TV, Steve said he would be a game show host or work in public relations.
He said his first job was working as a photographer for the show PM Magazine.
Steve lives in Upper Arlington with his wife Susan, two children and their Goldendoodle.
