Tom Wood - WCMH: News, Weather, and Sports for Columbus, Ohio

Tom Wood joined NBC4 as our gardening expert in May 2012. 

Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture from The Ohio State University with a specialty in landscape horticulture, construction and maintenance.

Since graduating from OSU more than 30 years ago, Tom has had the opportunity to develop his craft working and traveling as a professional horticulturist with stints at Marriott, Red Roof Inns and a number of landscape contractors.

His extensive professional experience helped to refine his vision for Wood Landscape Services, Ltd., established in 1990. As president, Tom and his team of certified professionals do whatever it takes to design, build and maintain exceptional outdoor environments.

He is landscape industry certified as a member of PLANET (Professional Landcare Network).

Tom currently serves as a board member for the Columbus Landscape Association. He previously served as president.

He is also a board member and chair of the education committee for the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association and an elder and board member at the Liberty Presbyterian Church.

Tom grew up and currently lives in Worthington with his wife, Melinda, and sons, Lucas and Jacob. He enjoys golf, biking, photography and outdoor activities.
