
Mikaela Hunt co-anchors NBC4 Today and NBC4 Midday
and also reports for NBC4.
Prior to joining the NBC4 team, Hunt served as a 5 p.m. anchor and
reporter, covering Central Illinois at WAND-TV.
She also worked as a reporter at KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO, and WSOY Radio in
Decatur, IL.
Hunt graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
In 2005, the Associated Press awarded her for investigative
reporting.
Hunt says the most memorable story she covered was a piece on trick-or-treating
and sex offenders, it led to a new law created by the Illinois legislature.
Hunt is a member of the Junior League of Columbus.
She's volunteered at OSU as a fraternity development adviser and spent time as
a church lector and communion minister at Ss. Simon and Jude.
She also is involved in a local book club.
If she weren't working in television, Hunt said she would be a
corporate trainer or personal shopper.
Hunt's first job was as a counter clerk at a lumberyard and hardware store,
working for her father's small business.
Hunt lives in Galloway with her husband, Marcus; their sons, Logan and
Christian; and their Miniature Dachshunds, Bentley and Barkley.
