WASHINGTON, DC (NBC News) -- The Panda Cam at the National Zoo caught one of its most celebrated subjects on quite the escapade.
Meet Bei Bei the adorable giant panda seen above frolicking at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC.
But on this day, the giant panda went a little too far out on a limb, literally.
And down goes Bei Bei! Tree limb and all.
But just like a kid who's escaped harm, the 2-year-old climbs right back up the tree again.
The National Zoo assures us that Bei Bei is fine.
Zoo handlers say giant pandas are built to withstand falls.
Bei Bei is on loan to the U.S. from china. His name translates to "precious treasure"
